Rainbow Treasure Chest

What to do on a cold, windy day? Make a treasure chest for our little wanna-be pirate. We colored rice and lined it up in the box. In doing so, we hid little treasures. Of course, we added scoops.

We put out a sheet (note to self: next time, we do it on the tile). We played for hours. Well, Cade played and I did my own thang...

Peepshi

We all now that Peeps are a cult of their own. Kinda like Spam. In honor of Easter Peeps, I just might have to make THESE this year. Who doesn't love sushi? And, who doesn't *secretly* love Peeps? Well, if you can, in all honesty, say that you do not love Peeps, then you have not tried the chocolate-covered ones.

Catching up... once again

I guess I'm a seasonal blogger.
And, I guess I skipped over winter.
To make up for it, here is a picture
from Christmas Morning.

  Post Christmas . . .
Does he love to read or does he love to delay bedtime?

Trip to Frisco, CO

We had a great weekend get-away to Frisco, Colorado. It's a super cute little town with lots to do. Cade and I got there a day early and spent the day: shopping Main Street, hiking, playing at the Marina, and relaxing :) Aj got there in the evening, just in time to join us for dinner with his brother, Brian, and Brian's wife and daughter, Abby and Lauren. It was a great trip - lots of fun and lots of beautiful sites seen.

Grand Junction - we love you!

We've been in our new home for exactly one month as of today. I must say, we just love it. Every morning, I pull out of our subdivision and head to work - I am surrounded by wonderful beauty. Sometimes the sun is shining like a spotlight on the Monument, sometimes the clouds are hovering over the Mesa - no matter what it looks like, the beauty always amazes me.

Of course, the greatest thing is having our family back together again. I often say that Cade's favorite thing in the world is having all three of us in the same room. I must admit, that goes for me, too. There is nothing I love more than being together.

We keep waiting for the next shoe to drop, the pinch to come and wake us up. But so far, nothing has ruined our little bit of heaven.

Moving is actually happening....

We are very close to our moving date. It's very sad saying good-bye to my friends of so long. Today, I cried saying good-bye to the woman who does my hair. Cade is not so happy about having his "stuff" taken, but he seems to be adapting okay.

Our New Home

We have successfully moved across the country - or, at least half way. We landed in Grand Junction last week (officially, on March 30). We're happy to finally be living as a *real* family! Cade is adjusting even better than we expected - he loves the new daycare, loves his new house, but misses his cats. We were in a pet store the other day and he saw a black cat. He started yelling for "Bolsa!" And, he just didn't want to leave that store without his cat. As soon as we are settled into a permanent house, we will get some pet. Since I'm out numbered, it will most likely be a dog.
